Michael is a Pittsburgh-based entrepreneur, filmmaker and the founder of Make Roots, a film production company. Michael has spent the past thirteen years helping local and global companies tell the human side of their stories and connect with audiences. He lives in Point Breeze with his wife Ashley and three sons. Michael's passion for this project stems from his experience of rural poverty as a young man, living with his family in a rundown, secluded trailer in the backwoods of Georgia. Many factors hoisted the family out of that situation. But that time serves Michael as a reminder of the complex and generational barriers that can and do keep so many families in the trenches.
